Coffee culture in Nepal has been gradually on the rise for the past 30 years and our very own barista trainer, Jon Skinner, has been at the forefront helping it progress. As coffee became more popular in Nepal, more cafes began to appear, increasing the number of coffee connoisseurs throughout the country – but the quality was unable to catch up with demand.

Designed to meet the market demand for skilled baristas who produce and serve high quality coffee, the Pacific Hospitality and Culinary Academy joined forces with the Beverage Standards Association (BSA) in the UK to open the British Coffee School in Kathmandu – the capital city of Nepal.

To help the students of the British Coffee School, Jon Skinner was introduced to shape the curriculum, driving beverage standards and develop the best baristas possible. Jon is an an accomplished individual in the world of barista and coffee training and was one of the first judges at the UK World Barista Championship. Every Cafe2U franchise partner undergoes intensive training with Jon before they begin their Cafe2U journey, so we are confident the baristas of Nepal are in good hands.

We are very proud of Jon, flying the Cafe2U flag worldwide and helping train the future of coffee!
