The 2019 Cafe2U Conference was held in Birmingham last Saturday – and this year’s theme was ‘Driving Forward …Together.’ The conference included an array of workshops, an in-depth Q&A session with senior leaders and an awards ceremony to celebrate all of the hard work that has been put in by the whole Cafe2U team this year!
There was the chance to mingle and chat with Cafe2U staff and fellow franchisees in the Market Place ahead of the conference starting, before franchisees were ushered into the conference room with Martyn Ward and Will Vernon taking to the stage with a warm welcome.
Franchisees were updated on the current coffee market overview, with insights from the Allegra Report, trends coming through the industry and the advantages Cafe2U has a business with brand standards, coffee quality and new opportunities for further growth.
We also had the pleasure of three members from the Coffeesmiths Collective join us, bringing with them their vast coffee knowledge and providing fascinating insight into the process of making and distributing coffee.
The day was punctuated by 4 workshops that all franchisees took part in from cups, efficiency, improving gross margins and marketing workshops which all led to important round table discussions.
The day was rounded off with the Barista of the Year live competition! Award winners were announced and celebrated and after a long but enjoyable day, for those staying overnight we boarded a coach for a fun night of entertainment at the Glee Comedy Club.
